* Material consumption depends on the quality of the substrate preparation, the application method, the tool used, the qualification of the workers, and may differ from the specified values.
** At t (+20±2) ℃ and relative air humidity of no more than (65±5) %. If the temperature decreases or humidity increases, the drying time may increase. At air temperatures below +15℃ or relative air humidity above 65%, apply the next coat of primer no earlier than after 24 hours.
A special insulating primer used before applying FIRE STOP non-combustible paint to various types of substrates. The use of Bergauf Techno Primer Isol ensures compatibility and adhesion of FIRE STOP non-combustible paint to the substrate, absence of chalking, and high strength and performance properties of the coating.
The primer forms an opaque "breathable" coating, levels the absorption capacity of the substrate, improves interlayer adhesion through micro-reinforcement of the base, and promotes a more uniform application of subsequent paint layers. It is easy to apply and dries quickly.
Used for treating concrete, brick, cement, gypsum, polymer plasters, or putties.
The primer can be used in rooms with normal and high humidity.
Available in a fixed color palette: milky white
SURFACE PREPARATION
Substrate preparation should be carried out in accordance with SP 71.13330.2017.
The surface must meet the following requirements:
concrete, reinforced concrete, brickwork older than 28 days and relative humidity not more than 4%
cement, cement-sand, cement-lime, lime plasters and putties older than 14 days and relative humidity not more than 4%
polymer putties older than 3 days, relative humidity not more than 1%
gypsum plasters and putties older than 3 days, relative humidity not more than 1%.
Clean the substrate from dust and dirt. Remove unstable layers of old paint and whitewash from previously painted surfaces.
Hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces should be sanded to a matte finish, and sanding dust must be removed. Surfaces previously covered with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed.
If necessary, fill irregularities with putty, then sand the dried surface.
Loose (soft) gypsum plasters, putties, and polymer putties should be reinforced with Bergauf Techno Primer or Bergauf Tiefgrunt deep penetration primer.
WORK PROCEDURE
The surface to be treated must be strong, dry, clean and free from substances that prevent adhesion; the substrate temperature for work must be from +5°C, the room temperature during paint application from +5°C to +35°C, and relative air humidity below 80%.
Stir until smooth before use; do not dilute.
Apply to a prepared dry, clean surface using a roller, brush, or sprayer.
Recommended number of primer layers depending on the type of substrate:
— gypsum plasters and putties: 2 layers
— polymer putties: 1–2 layers
— cement plasters and putties: 1–2 layers
— concrete: 1–2 layers
— gypsum plasterboard: 1–2 layers
— brick: 1–2 layers.
Application of FIRE STOP non-combustible paint on a primed substrate should be carried out no earlier than 4 hours later, provided the temperature is at least +15°C and relative air humidity is no more than 65%.
At temperatures below +15℃ or relative air humidity above 65%, the drying time of the primer before painting increases. The strength gain time can reach up to 14 days.
Application of FIRE STOP non-combustible paint on a non-dried primer is unacceptable!
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Protect the product bucket from excessive heat and avoid storage under direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Subject to storage conditions, the guaranteed shelf life in closed original packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture. Separation of the product may occur during storage, which is easily eliminated by stirring. Keep partially used product in a tightly closed container and use as soon as possible.
The product is fire and explosion safe and contains no flammable components.
