* Material consumption depends on the quality of the substrate preparation, the application method, the tool used, the qualification of the workers, and may differ from the specified values.
** A certain content of particles differing from the main color is allowed, which does not affect the technical characteristics of the product. This is due to the presence of natural fillers in the composition.
*** The stated quality indicators and recommendations are correct for an ambient temperature of +20°C and a relative air humidity of 60%. In other conditions, the drying and adjustment time may differ from those specified.
Purpose and properties
High-quality ready-to-use acrylic plaster for use in facade thermal insulation systems based on mineral wool and expanded polystyrene (excluding plinths), as well as for interior finishing in dry and wet rooms in buildings and structures of types A, B, C.
Technical features
Can be tinted in pastel and saturated colors. Resistant to shrinkage cracks. Easy to apply and structure. Durable and weather-resistant. Vapor-permeable.
Tinting
Decorative plaster is produced as a base and can be tinted by computer (machine) method into RAL, NCS, and other color catalogs. Manual tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes with high light and weather resistance. It is recommended to add no more than 5% colorant, as overdosing negatively affects the strength and workability of the coating application.
The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Color rendering features
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, actual color shades may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog. Before application, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color matching.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended to use product from the same production batch on one visual plane (the batch number is indicated on each package) or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
Color recommendations
It is recommended to use BERGAUF FACADE GRUNT primer in a color close to the color of the plaster being used.
The use of intense or dark colored materials with a reflection coefficient of less than 25% on facades should be limited to small surfaces occupying no more than 10% of the facade, for example, individual architectural details.
Application technology
Work should be carried out in accordance with SP 293.1325800.2017.
Before application, the plaster must be thoroughly mixed, as product separation may occur during storage. Dilution of the plaster with water is allowed in an amount of no more than 5% of the material weight.
Apply the plaster with a stainless steel float at a 60° angle to the surface; the layer thickness should correspond to the grain size of the plaster. Within 25–35 minutes after application (depending on temperature and humidity), form the required texture using a plastic float. The plastic float should be held parallel to the surface, forming the texture with light movements without pressure.
Methods of texture formation:
The "lamb" (pebble) texture is formed by circular motions. The "horizontal bark beetle" texture is formed by left-to-right motions. The "vertical bark beetle" (rain) texture is formed by up-and-down motions. The "cross bark beetle" texture is formed in 2 stages: first, diagonal motions are made from the top right to the bottom left, resulting in long and short lines, then a cross pattern is applied from the top left to the bottom right.
Application specifics
If it is necessary to stop work, masking tape is applied along the boundary of the plaster layer, which must be removed before the plaster hardens. To obtain a uniform texture, ensure a sufficient number of workers at each scaffolding level and perform the connection of sections between adjacent levels using the "wet-on-wet" method.
After application, the decorative plaster should be protected from direct sunlight, wind, and rain for the first 2–3 days. Under such conditions, it is recommended to cover the scaffolding with a special mesh or film and install flashings on the building. Do not allow freezing or overdrying.
Interior finishing should only be performed in well-ventilated rooms, and after completion of work, air circulation should be maintained until the coating is completely dry.
Subsequent work
For painting the decorative plaster surface, it is recommended to use acrylic, silicone, or silicate paints. Painting is carried out no earlier than 3–5 days later, depending on environmental conditions.
Tinting
Tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes with high light and weather resistance, in accordance with NCS, RAL, and other tinting systems. Depending on the application conditions and the texture of the surface being painted, actual color shades may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog.
It is recommended to add no more than 5% colorant, as an overdose negatively affects the strength and workability of the coating application. To avoid color variation, it is recommended to use product from the same production batch on a single surface (batch No. is indicated on each package) or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result. Before application, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color compliance.
Color recommendations
It is recommended to use «Bergauf FACADE GRUNT» primer in a color close to the color of the plaster being used.
The use of intense or dark colored materials with a reflection coefficient of less than 25% on facades should be limited to small surfaces, occupying no more than 10% of the facade, for example, individual architectural details.
Cleaning of tools
Clean tools with water immediately after work. If the tools were not cleaned immediately, they can only be cleaned mechanically later.
Restrictions
It is forbidden to work during precipitation, fog, on wet surfaces after rain, or at temperatures below +5°C and above +35°C.
Safety
Attention! The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
Storage and transportation conditions
Subject to storage conditions, the guaranteed shelf life in closed original packaging is 18 months from the date of manufacture. Store and transport in tightly closed containers at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Protect the product bucket from excessive heat and avoid storage under direct sunlight.
Attention!
Up to 5 freeze-thaw cycles are permitted for a total duration of no more than three weeks at temperatures no lower than minus 20°C.
